This is indeed a very effective exercise for the toes and feet. This exercise helps you, when your feet feel tired and pain. Try and do this exercise for a couple of minutes as many times as you can, to strengthen the muscles of the toes and feet.
Method:
• Sit with your legs stretched out in front of you.
• Keep your hands a little behind your lower back.
• Lean back a bit, using your arms as a support system. Ensure that your spine is straight. Do not slouch.
• Your feet should remain upright and your ankles must be relaxed and still.
• Now move your toes backwards for a few seconds, by inhaling.
• Then move your toes forward for a few seconds, by exhaling.
• Repeat this exercise 10 times.
• Then relax.
Padanguli Naman, is an excellent stress buster for the feet and the toes. It can be practiced by people of all age groups. This asana also helps those afflicted with Rheumatism. So go ahead and try it out, to experience relief from exertion and pain.
